About Us

Our Story

As a young couple born and raised in Moldova, we moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2009. Ever since, this Golden Heart City became home to our growing family. We knew from the beginning that this is the best community to achieve our American Dream. Through hard work and ambition, in 2018 we established our dream restaurant, which allows us to share recipes, traditions and culture from Moldova to Interior Alaska. We couldn't be happier with the outpour of support coming from our local community and the ones visiting our beautiful city. We may not be perfect but we strive to be so. Thank you to each and everyone of you for allowing us to serve you. Cheers To Many More Years!

Moldovan Wine

Moldova is known as a wine country with the largest wine cellars in the world. Moldova is a land of gently rolling hills that are ideally suited to viticulture with warm summers and moderate rainfall. Moldova has more vines per person than any other country in the world and has a proud viticultural heritage stretching back thousands of years.

Your server will help you pair your meal with the perfect glass of wine.

Cricova

The history of the “Cricova” Associated Wine Factory began in 1952. There was a shortage of facilities for the storage and aging of wines at that time in the Republic of Moldova. Following long searches, two outstanding personalities of Moldovan winemaking, Petru Ungureanu and Nicolae Sobolev, suggested using the galleries resulting from building stone extraction as warehouses for the storage of wine. “Cricova” has thus become a unique underground complex that got renowned throughout the world for both its huge labyrinths and its excellent wines.

“Cricova” is located in a unique place in the central region of the Republic of Moldova. The picturesque vineyards spread in the vicinity of the country’s most imposing natural and historical attractions – the natural forest reserve “Codrii” and the archaeological complex of Old Orhei. The Republic of Moldova is known to have a favorable climate with mild winters, plenty of sunny days, and the most fertile chernozem soil. Thus, Cricova winemakers are some of the luckiest ones.

Purcari

In 1827, Emperor of Russia Nicholas I issued a special decree granting Purcari the status of the first specialized winery in Bessarabia. It was named in honor of one of the founders originating from Germany - Harmizione. At the turn of the century, Chateau Purcari replanted 250 hectares of vineyards, and installed state-of the art technology at the winery.

Purcari is recognized as the most popular winery among the Moldovan wine producers, being a leader in premium wine production in Moldova.
